Grade 4-12 Dancers

Dancers are able to choose ballet/jazz combination class. In this class they will focus on terminology in both dance forms. They will work on technique and how to improve their body awareness. They also have the option to take a tap or hip hop class, which will work on tap skills and progressions. We will also go through some of the history of dance and where the movements and terminology come from in each of these styles. 

These classes will perform in our winter showcase in December. Dancers will then be able to re-enroll for our winter/spring session and be in our annual spring recital. 

Frazee: 

Grade 4-6 Ballet/Jazz Combination Class: Tuesday 6:00-7:00

Grade 4-6 Tap: Tuesday 7:00-7:30

Grade 4-6 Hip Hop: Tuesday 7:30-8:00

Acro (Grade 3-6): Thursday 5:00-5:30

Park Rapids:

Grade 4-6 Ballet/Jazz Combination Class: Thursday 5:15-6:15

Grade 4-6 Tap: Thursday 6:15-6:45

Grade 4-6 Hip Hop: Thursday 6:45-7:15

Acro (Grade 3-6): Monday 5:00-5:30

 We offer a variety of dance styles for dancers. We determine the level by their age and ability. Dancers can pick the classes they enjoy and will thrive in. We hope they gain knowledge in dance as well as discipline for life.

These classes will focus on the skills and techniques necessary to build strength, endurance, flexibility, pose and confidence.  Each of these classes will perform one dance in both the winter showcase and the spring recital. 

Frazee: 

Grade 7-12 Ballet: Monday 6:30-7:30

Park Rapids:

Grade 7-12 Ballet: Monday 6:30-7:30

The class will focus on ballet technique with the emphasis being on the pointe shoes.  You are required to be in a ballet class and have teacher approval before joining.

Frazee: Monday 7:30-8:00

Park Rapids: Monday 6:00-6:30

This class will include a wide range of styles including breaking, locking and popping, and rhythms. This class will be a combination of street jazz and jazz funk. This style of dance requires high energy and attention to detail.

Frazee:

Grade 7-12: Thursday 5:30-6:15

Park Rapids:

Grade 7-12: Tuesday 5:00-5:30

This class will learn terminology and the history of jazz. Dancers will work on techniques across the floor as well as some musical theater in this class.

Park Rapids:

Grade 7-12: Tuesday 7:00-8:00

Dancers will work on contemporary styles of dance as well as improvisation. This class will combine both ballet and jazz technique but also work on individualistic styles of dance.

Grade 7-12: Thursday 7:30-8:15

Park Rapids:

Grade 7-12: Monday 8:00-8:45
